Arc 2 Chapter 107: Gamer God, Please Don't Tease (64)
Everyone knew that if Su Xun's anger was terrifying, angering Luo Liyan would likely result in a double-crit damage.
The fact that the Boss reconsidered his return as a professional player was a minor issue. It was possible that a single outburst would lead to the complete dissolution of LAS.
"It's nothing." Su Xun turned to Luo Lir
yan, his fierce expression now completely gone replaced by a gentle look as he approached her.
"Are you hungry? How about I take you to Guizi Street for hot pot?"
Luo Liyan took a couple of steps back instinctively, her suspicious gaze shifting between him and the LAS teammates standing behind him.
"You're lying to me!" She stated her voice carrying a subtle sense of disappointment.
Listening closely one could detect a trace of sadness in her tone.
Su Xun's expression briefly stiffened and he sighed in resignation. "Our relationship has been exposed online by ZZ."
ZZ?
Luo Liyan thought about the guy who had given her strange looks several times this morning her brows furrowing.
With everything that happened earlier in the day she had managed to forget about this guy.
If only she had known that he was hiding something. It wasn't surprising that he would resort to such actions so quickly.
This incident had taught her a valuable lesson about the need to remain vigilant and prepared for whatever might come. Falling into the same trap twice was a foolish move.
Su Xun grabbed her hand and took a few steps closer. "Luo Liyan it's alright. Those online haters won't affect our lives. If you really don't like it we can emigrate to a foreign country where no one knows us."
The hurried tone of his words revealed his anxiety making Luo Liyan look at him with confusion.
"Have we done anything wrong? Why should we run to a foreign country just because some people online are criticizing us?" Luo Liyan pouted and extended her hand toward Su Xun. "Give me your phone, let me take a look."
Su Xun hesitated for a moment but ultimately handed her his phone.
Luo Liyan's fingers rapidly scrolled through the screen. Her expression which had been calm at first gradually darkened.
ZZ's exposé was mostly accurate. He blamed Su Xun for LAS's loss in S8 used emotional language to gain support and rallied the online gaming community with his status as a die-hard fan of Su Xun an old player in League of Legends.
Luo Liyan also read some vile comments that attacked her and Su Xun mercilessly.
She was witnessing the endless creativity people had in their insults for the first time.
"Don't read anymore." Su Xun sensed Luo Liyan's growing anger. He reached out and covered her eyes feeling guilty and distressed. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! It's my fault for not protecting you."
His eyes turned red and his words choked up.
He had thought that he could keep Luo Liyan away from the emotional abuse inflicted by her parents. Little did he know that he would become the source of her greatest suffering.
If not for him Luo Liyan wouldn't be under attack by the entire internet.
With himself causing such harm how could he bring happiness to her?
How could he protect her?
Though he had the power to suppress everything and make the exposé disappear from the internet some wounds couldn't be healed by erasing words from a screen. Luo Liyan had seen and felt the effects and he couldn't make her forget about it.
