Chapter 521: This is an Outing, Right?

The members of the Shu family were still filled with trepidation from what happened yesterday. Shu Yu had eaten well and was full of energy, making it impossible for them to resist her.

However, the Shu family still felt discontented.

Why was it that even though she committed the crimes, it was her who received preferential treatment?

Yes, for the Shu family, the prisoner's cart on the exile route was a form of preferential treatment. Even though the cart always held serious criminals, they wanted to sit in it too.

The Shu family was dissatisfied, but they didn't dare to resist. After all, those officials sided with Shu Yu because of the silver they received.

The officials didn't care about their thoughts. The leading official directly sat on the front of the cart and urged the horses to move forward.

The other officials led the Shu family to follow quickly.

Shu Yu sat on the "prisoner's cart" and carefully observed the patterns on the bamboo.

As soon as she got on the cart, she knew for sure that her father had made this. After all, the strange and peculiar house pattern was very similar to the one she had drawn behind their own mule cart.

She had even said that it was a house-carriage.

And now, what she was sitting in was indeed a house-carriage.

Shu Yu pursed her lips and couldn't help but smile.

The leading official who was driving the cart said, "Miss Lu, there are curtains on the roof of the cart. You can lower them to block the sunlight. If you're tired, you can also sleep. After all, this cart is moving slowly."

Shu Yu smiled and said, "Thank you." She did lower the curtains, all four sides of them, immediately blocking her off completely. She couldn't see anything from the inside.

The Shu family followed behind and became even more resentful.

Was this a prisoner's cart? This was clearly a carriage compartment.

She wasn't a banished criminal; she was a young lady going on an outing.

But that wasn't all. In the afternoon, the sunny weather suddenly turned gloomy, indicating that it was going to rain.

Shu Yu was relieved that she had taken action yesterday. If she didn't have this cart, she would have to walk in the rain this afternoon, and her feet would be sore again tomorrow.

The rain poured down, and Shu Yu cleverly spread her straw raincoat on top of the prisoner's cart.

Although there was a roof on the bamboo cage, it was just for decoration, and the top was still open. When Lu Erbo made it, it wasn't easy to make it completely closed.

But now, with the raincoat covering it, it was no problem.

She also had an umbrella, which she opened, effectively blocking the remaining raindrops.

The officials behind were stunned by this scene.

Damn, this prisoner was living a better life than them.

The Shu family was even more frustrated. They still had their umbrellas from before, and although each person had one, compared to Shu Yu, who sat comfortably inside the prisoner's cart and didn't get wet at all, they felt like they were climbing mountains and crossing ridges, struggling through hardships.

Shu Yu took out a candy and ate it while listening to the sound of the rain.

Her father brought her these candies the night before yesterday. She could still hide two small candies on her clothes.

There was only her in this compartment, and no one would notice her eating.

However, occasionally, she could hear the arguments of the Shu family from behind.

On a rainy day, with such a stark contrast as Shu Yu, they became even more restless.

Then, they started blaming Aunt Xue, and Fourth Miss even thought of imitating Shu Yu, maybe even getting into a fight with Aunt Xue, hoping to secure a place in one of the carriages.

But before she could take any action, she was stopped by Eldest Miss.
