Weichi Che's large hand pressed against her softness, making Luo Liyan feel his slender fingers kneading her chest. Her face turned bright red in anger.
"You..." Her rosy lips slightly parted ready to scold him but she saw a hint of mockery in Weichi Che's clear eyes.
"Your life is destined to be my lady. Shouldn't you have gotten used to your husband's presence by now?"
"Heh..." Luo Liyan chuckled mockingly. "Marriage is arranged by parents and matchmakers' words are involved. If you want to marry me, you'll have to pass the test with my father. Don't forget what you did a few days ago."
This was the second time she had heard such words from Luo Liyan. The first time was twelve years ago but they had privately agreed on their lifelong relationship, so there was nothing wrong with it. But now she had her family and he didn't want to mistreat her.
If he wanted to establish a marriage alliance with the An Yong Marquis mansion, he would have to remember what he had done in the past few days.
Weichi Che's lips curled up slightly and it was unclear whether it was joy or mockery in his expression.
"What are you doing here? You'd better leave now. I need to change my clothes!" Luo Liyan pushed against the tight embrace around her.
"Alright." Weichi Che's gaze darkened slightly and he stood up pointing to a set of luxurious robes on the beautiful couch. "I've prepared this for you."
Even though he wanted to personally help her change, he didn't want to make her too uncomfortable so he followed Luo Liyan's pushes and walked out.
As he looked at the door, which was slammed shut with a bang, it cut off his line of sight. Even though the door separated them he couldn't bear it.
He wanted to possess her.
He wanted to melt her into his own flesh and blood.
Weichi Che leaned lightly against the door, his entire being exuding a frantic yet dark aura.
What had really happened twelve years ago?
Why hadn't his extensive network of spies found out how she had left the brothel?
Could it be that she had suddenly disappeared, as those people had said at the time?
And now, was she still the same as before?
Weichi Che's expression suddenly turned cold and his hands gripping the door frame tightened shattering the edges of the sandalwood door.
"What are you doing again?" Luo Liyan opened the door and saw the delicate carvings missing two pieces, causing her brows to furrow. She scolded him unhappily.
"Disappeared?" Luo Liyan's gaze was gentle, comforting, as she patted Weichi Che's back.
Her appearance and departure seemed to have left him with deep feelings and an indelible shadow in his heart.
With a gentle sigh Luo Liyan reassured him. "You need to stay away from me. I just changed my clothes, so you better not get them wet again."
"I don't want to let go." Weichi Che said reluctantly.
But he still released the little troublemaker in his arms.
His gaze was affectionate and tender as he watched her charming and sulking face.
