Chapter 469: You look easy to bully.

The dead cannot possibly still exist.

Qin Ruan knew her eldest brother's question wasn't about the mortal world, but about another realm.

She was certain that the mother she had never seen before was no longer in the underworld; she had already been reincarnated.

All beings in the world must go through reincarnation; it is a natural law that no one can change.

Of course, she was an exception, a rare occurrence among millions.

Therefore, Qin Ruan cherished the opportunity of being reborn even more.

Qin Jingcen's heart felt as if it had fallen into an icy river; he lost all strength and slumped heavily onto the sofa.

His desolate expression was noticed by Qin Ruan.

"Brother, there are different paths in life, and you don't need to be so fixated on this matter."

Qin Jingcen supported his forehead and sighed, "I need to adjust my emotions."

Tonight's events were too chaotic for him.

His father's actions, the change in identity of a friend of over ten years; accepting all of this would take time.

Qin Ruan reached out and smoothed his furrowed brow. "Brother, don't frown."

Qin Jingcen forced a smile and changed the subject, "Are you staying at home tonight, or going back to the Hou family?"

Qin Ruan glanced at the time, her face revealing anxiety. "Third Young Master is going to the United States tomorrow, so I need to go back to the Hou family for a while."

Qin Jingcen pulled her up from the sofa. "It's getting late; you should go back soon."

Qin Ruan was escorted to the door, where Hou Chuan was still waiting in front of the car.

Seeing his wife, he quickly walked to the back of the car and opened the door.

Qin Jingcen patted Qin Ruan's shoulder and spoke softly, "Go, be careful on the way."

Qin Ruan lifted her foot to leave. After taking a couple of steps, she turned around with a serious expression. "Brother, that classmate of yours, Hu Yihan, is different from the orthodox metaphysical practitioners. He relies on demonic power for cultivation. You should be more cautious around him."

This was also a subtle reminder.

Qin Ruan hadn't detected any danger from Hu Yihan for the time being, but someone who concealed their identity from her brother for so many years made her feel that the person was deeply scheming.

Qin Jingcen curved his thin lips into a faint smile and calmly replied, "Okay."

The hand behind his back gradually exerted force, causing the back of his hand to turn white.

After watching Qin Ruan get into the car and leave, the smile on Qin Jingcen's face quickly disappeared.

His handsome face turned gloomy, and his eyes became deep and terrifying.

Qin Jingcen turned around and entered the house, heading straight to a guest room on the first floor.

He walked familiarly to the front of a certain room's door and forcefully kicked it open.

The door swung open with a loud bang, making a loud noise.

The person lying on the bed inside heard the commotion and slightly turned their body.

Hu Yiyuan narrowed his eyes, wanting to see who had entered.

Qin Jingcen strode into the room, with his back facing the door, and locked it behind him.

He walked to the side of the bed, reached out, and lifted Hu Yiyuan, who was curled up on the bed.

Young Master Qin's voice was cold and stern, "Yiyuan, don't you think you owe me an explanation?"

A pained expression appeared on Hu Yiyuan's pale face. "Jingcen, what are you doing?"

"What are you doing?" Qin Jingcen sneered, exuding a strong sense of oppression: "That's what I should be asking you. You've kept it hidden for so many years. How come I didn't know you had such abilities?"

"You never asked me."

Hu Yiyuan's eyes lowered, appearing guilty.

Upon closer inspection, one could notice his body trembling, possibly out of fear.

Qin Jingcen chuckled, his tone eerily sinister: "Born into the Hu family of Liaodong, dealing with monsters all year round, your Hu family even has a longstanding relationship with my father. Why didn't you mention this before? Do I really need to ask you about Yiyuan's matters? Huh?"

His slender and attractive hand interwove in Hu Yiyuan's hair, releasing a chilling aura that quickly spread throughout the room.

Qin Jingcen's nasal "hmm" sent shivers down Hu Yiyuan's spine.

He finally realized that his friend was genuinely angry, and not just a little bit.

After years of knowing each other, he was well aware of the seemingly gentle and good-tempered Qin Jingcen's vengeful and petty nature.

Hu Yiyuan swallowed and clasped his hands together, saying, "Jingcen, I was wrong, truly wrong. I will never hide anything from you again."

Hu Yiyuan's eyes darted around, searching for the best opportunity to escape.

He instinctively knew that if he didn't flee soon, he would be in trouble tonight.

Qin Jingcen released his grip on Hu Yiyuan's collar, removing his hand from his hair.

Standing by the bed, Qin Jingcen looked down at Hu Yiyuan's pale face from a higher position.

Hu Yiyuan's facial features were not particularly outstanding, but he had a pleasant appearance. His body proportions were particularly perfect, which attracted the attention of many girls.

Qin Jingcen rolled up his shirt sleeves, a wicked smile forming at the corner of his lips.

Seeing this, Hu Yiyuan's cold sweat broke out. "Jingcen, let's talk things out properly."

"There's nothing for me to talk to you about."

Qin Jingcen knelt by the edge of the bed, reaching out to grab Hu Yiyuan.

The latter swiftly dodged, barefoot, rushing towards the door.

The door was locked, and it would take time to open it.

While unlocking the door, Qin Jingcen's approached with large strides, grabbing Hu Yiyuan by his collar and dragging him away.

"Bang!"

Hu Yiyuan was thrown onto the bed like a piece of trash.

Sensing the danger, he immediately got up, but before he could steady himself, he was pressed down again.

Qin Jingcen firmly held his hands, preventing him from struggling or escaping. "Yiyuan, do I seem like someone with a good temper?"

The disappointment in his heart tainted the former camaraderie of their youth.

"No, I've never thought that!" Hu Yiyuan exclaimed, knowing full well that Qin Jingcen and a good temper were completely incompatible.

Just as Hu Yiyuan finished speaking, he felt a cool touch around his waist.

Qin Jingcen lifted him up slightly, his voice as cold as ice. "I feel like you're being insincere."

Hu Yiyuan's head spun; his premonition was about to come true.

"Ah! I'm sorry!"

"No, I have never felt this way before!"

God knows, Qin Jingcen and his good temper don't get along at all.

As soon as Hu Yiyuan finished speaking, he felt a cool touch on his waist.

Qin Jingcen lifted him up, his voice as cold as ice, "I feel that you're being contradictory."

Hu Yiyuan's scalp exploded; his premonition was about to come true.

"Ah! I'm sorry!"

"Jingcen, we gentlemen settle things with words, not with our hands!"

In the first-floor guest room, Hu Yiyuan's miserable cries could be heard intermittently.

There were things falling and the sounds of a scuffle coming from inside the room. It was clear that a fight was taking place.

Amidst the commotion, Hu Yiyuan's voice gradually grew weaker.

One hour later.

Qin Jingcen opened the guest room door and calmly walked out with elegant steps.

He stood at the doorway, lowering his head to adjust his sleeves, and addressed the person inside the room, saying, "Yiyuan, I hope there won't be a next time."

"You've gone too far!"

Hu Yiyuan's angry voice filled with resentment echoed through the room.

Qin Jingcen raised his eyes and glanced at Hu Yiyuan, who was huddled by the bed, clutching a blanket.

A faint smile curled up at the corner of his lips. "You seem easily bullied."

Just as Hu Yiyuan was about to explode in rage, Qin Jingcen calmly walked out of the room and swiftly closed the door behind him.

"Qin Jingcen, we are sworn enemies!"

Hu Yiyuan's enraged voice was blocked off from the room.

Qin Jingcen flexed his slightly reddened hands, stepped away, and walked lightly, exuding a sense of contentment.

Inside the guest room, Hu Yiyuan waited until he was certain Qin Jingcen wouldn't return. He pulled back the blanket from his body, revealing numerous bruises.

Qin Jingcen's punches were not to be underestimated.

He had never seen someone so ruthlessly violent before!
