"Not too long." Ye Muyu replied casually not particularly concerned.

Qisang's gaze sharpened. "It seems like you really want to meet me again. I won't disappoint you."

Without saying more, Qisang turned and left.

Ye Muyu wasn't entirely at ease with this person. When Chu Heng came back in the evening, she would have to discuss with him and at least investigate Qisang's background. Ye Muyu kept this in mind, maintaining her calm demeanor.

After a short wait, Chu Ziluo and Chu Jin came out of the school.

Chu Ziluo looked around as soon as she came out, not seeing Qisang. She breathed a sigh of relief thinking that she would keep her distance from the Doctor Qisang next time. The argument just now was because of her mother's fall. Her mother didn't like arguing, so she wanted to avoid it.

Ye Muyu had no idea that the child had thought so much about it. She stood next to the mule cart and Chu Ziluo picked up the flattened pastries from Nenya's hand. They were originally wrapped in oiled paper when purchased from the store. Opening it now revealed that the soft fragrant pastries had turned into a mush of cream and cake.

It didn't look too bad.

Ye Muyu accepted it naturally not minding the flattened cake. But in Chu Ziluo's eyes, it was the pastry she had longed for and she couldn't bear to eat it herself. She had even wanted her little brother to see it.

Unexpectedly, it was now flattened.

She felt a bit wronged but more worried that her little brother wouldn't like the flattened pastries.

"Why did it turn out like this?" Chu Jin looked at the pastries in front of him with curiosity, his little face full of confusion.

Chu Ziluo bit her lip and explained, "I fell at the entrance of the school just now and the soft fragrant cake got crushed."

"Brother, I'm sorry. I didn't protect the pastries."

Chu Jin directly picked up a wooden spoon from the side, scooped some of the soft fragrant cake and didn't mind at all. While eating, he said, "Sister, why did you leave so much for me? Why aren't you eating?"

"I think this tastes so good." Chu Jin ate happily, looking at Ye Muyu, he straightforwardly said, "Mom, the soft fragrant cakes you make are even more delicious than the ones we bought."

"But, this is bought by Mom. I think it's delicious only because Mom bought it."

Ye Muyu nodded satisfactorily. She just missed tidying up this little guy.

Chu Ziluo, seeing that Chu Jin had no disdain, smiled with joy. She also took the wooden fork she had used before and joined in the eating. "This is delicious. There seems to be something else inside that I can't taste."

"I know, it's peaches." Chu Jin was a foodie and naturally didn't feel ashamed of this name. So, he quickly tasted it and said while eating, "Sister, you made this so delicious. It's even better than the ones we bought."

"However, this is bought by Mom. I think it's delicious because Mom bought it."

After the two children finished eating, about fifteen minutes had passed. Chu Jin felt his mouth was sweet, so he asked Ye Muyu for some tea.

After drinking, he patted his belly comfortably. "Mom, I'm full now. I have to go to the school first. Master might come out looking for me immediately."

"Little Jin." As soon as he spoke, a middle-aged man's voice came from the school.
