PWDLAW Chapter 366: Straightforward to the Point of Choking

Chapter 366: Straightforward to the Point of Choking

Chu Heng glanced at him.

Seeking him for clarification?

"I'm a bit thirsty." Chu Heng calmly sat down at the desk, opened a book without looking at Lu Sangqi and directly instructed the incoming Luchuan, "Take Doctor Qi to the hall for tea."

"Doctor Qi, please." Luchuan reached out and didn't resist him. There was a gap between the two.

Lu Sangqi was really shorter than Luchuan. Thinking about having to stand on tiptoe to see Chu Heng, he felt a bit uncomfortable and his displeasure surged instantly. Turning around, he walked away.

It was only after leaving that he realized he had played into Chu Heng's hands.

Feeling bitter, he regretted it but still decided to go back into the study. Yet, Luchuan had already closed the study door, appearing indifferent and not caring about his feelings at all!

"Are you learning how to host guests from Chu Heng?" Lu Sangqi gritted his teeth.

Luchuan had figured out Chu Heng's temperament. Hearing this, he nodded kindly and said, "Master doesn't seem to want to talk to you. Doctor Qi is a doctor, you should discuss things with Master separately. How about sitting in the hall and enjoying tea?"

"Do you mean I'm not worthy of talking to Chu Heng?" Lu Sangqi erupted in anger.

"Huh?" Luchuan looked at him puzzledly. "Doctor Qi, you are so easily angered. It's not good. Moreover, I didn't mean that."

"Doctor Qi, do you not want to stay for lunch at home?" Chu Heng's cold voice came from inside the room, clearly indicating that he wanted to drive the person away.

Lu Sangqi was choked but he still wanted to stay a bit longer to inquire about the situation. With a snort he quickly walked into the hall.

However, once inside, he found himself alone with no one to talk to.

Lu Sangqi's mood kept changing,
but unfortunately no one cared about him. He could only choose to console himself.

On the other hand, in the kitchen, Ye Muyu's face was still a bit red.

Hu Shi was focused on preparing the lunch for noon and hadn't noticed her.

"Wife, have you prepared the fish and crabs for lunch?"

"And the eels in the rice fields, these creatures love to dig holes. In the past, I only heard that wealthy families made eel soup but I didn't know the specific method. In the countryside, we usually just grill and eat them."

"Let's make the fish into pepper-sautéed fish and I'll make the crabs in a spicy flavor. As for the eels... let's make eel soup."

"Although I don't know how the wealthy families do it, we can treat it as making a soup." Ye Muyu certainly knew how to cook eel, so after saying this, she had Hu Shi clean up the ingredients and she started cooking.

For the eel soup, Ye Muyu planned to use Chinese yam and carrots.

Perhaps because they were in Jiangnan, many ingredients were readily available. The village was filled with various vegetables and it was the season for eating vegetables. The ingredients Ye Muyu needed were not available at home, so she asked Zhang Shu to buy them.

Making eel soup was quite simple.

After the water in the pot was heated, the Chinese yam pieces were blanched and cooled and then the eel segments were blanched and cleaned.

With the ingredients ready, she added oil to the iron pot. When the oil was hot, she added seasonings such as scallions, ginger, and garlic. Since ginger was relatively expensive, she used less.

Then, she added the eel segments and stir-fried them for a while, adding a bit of cooking wine to remove the fishy smell.

Without cooking wine, Ye Muyu used the white wine she had brought from the store.

After stir-frying until fragrant, she directly poured everything into a small clay pot, added water, and put in the blanched Chinese yam and carrots. The mixture was then simmered on the stove.

"Madam, it smells so good. There's no fishy smell at all. In the past, I never thought of making it this way. I just learned it, so I'll make it for you in the future." Hu Shi had finished slicing the fish.
