PWDLAW Chapter 275: The First Time Helping Someone Wipe Their Hair

Chapter 275: The First Time Helping Someone Wipe Their Hair

In order to establish a good relationship with Chu Heng under the pretext of gift-giving, she decided to take advantage of the situation and secure some potential favors for the future.

During the conversation, Hu Shi had already dried Ye Muyu's hair halfway.

As Ye Muyu sat up, looking at her long hair in the mirror, she couldn't help muttering "It seems like my hair has grown a bit longer."

"What's wrong? Do you think your hair is too long?" Suddenly, Chu Heng's voice sounded, startling her.

Regaining her composure, she turned to him and asked, "How did you come in? I heard that Jin was reviewing his lessons."

"I just came out to see since you should be done washing. Jin is reviewing with Ziluo. You two can go wash up." Chu Heng said.

Hu Shi, accustomed to such scenes, didn't find it strange at all. With a good relationship between the serving staff and the master's family and their kind hearts especially towards them, she was more than satisfied. She would never show any unnecessary expressions that might offend the master's family.

"Yes, Master."

Hu Shi paused when Ye Muyu called her.

"Wait a moment."

"Madam?" Hu Shi returned, standing by her side.

Ye Muyu said, "Earlier, when we made the hand cream, you helped me. Go get some and try it out for yourself."

Hu Shi still in a daze, realized it was a gift from Madam. She quickly thanked her and expressed her gratitude. "Thank you Madam for your kindness. I'll try it out later."

"Go ahead. There's still hot water in the pot. You can wash up too."

"Yes, Madam. I'll be taking my leave."

Hu Shi left with Nenya.

With only the two of them left in the room, Ye Muyu observed that Chu Heng's actions seemed a bit awkward. Unlike his skilled cooking, this hair-drying task seemed less refined.

This unexpected realization surprised Ye Muyu. She couldn't help but ask, "Can't you wipe hair?"

A man who could cook so well, struggling to wipe hair...

Ye Muyu's thoughts wandered.

Feeling the hand on her head pause, Chu Heng's somewhat stiff voice broke the silence. "I've never helped anyone wipe their hair. After doing it a few times, I'll get used to it."

Ye Muyu was momentarily surprised. She hadn't expected Chu Heng to respond like this. For a moment, she felt her cheeks heat up. She had never considered the possibility that she was the first person Chu Heng had ever helped wipe their hair.

She reached out to touch her face, realizing that she was genuinely happy because of the sincere attention she received. It was a rare and uncomplicated joy to be treated genuinely by someone. After all, being sincerely treated by someone was quite rare.

Ye Muyu looked up at him, sincerely saying "Thank you."

Chu Heng looked into her bright eyes, unsure whether to be happy or sad.

If the previous situation had been somewhat awkward, the remark about hair-drying was undoubtedly the cause of Chu Heng's current embarrassment. After all, touching a woman's hair was a gesture reserved for a husband in traditional customs. Even more so was the act of drying her hair, something only an intimate couple would do.

His ears turned red.

After saying those words, there was a hint of anticipation in Chu Heng's eyes.

He hoped that Ye Muyu would say something... something he wanted to hear.

Obviously, he had overthought it.

Chu Heng reached out and adjusted Ye Muyu's face, then sternly began to help her dry her hair. "No need to thank me."
