PWDLAW Chapter 310: Careless
Chapter 310: Careless
It didn't take long for Chu Heng to come out again, this time wearing a light blue scholar's robe. Even his sharp eyebrows seemed a bit softer. Chu Jin stared at him for a while.
Chu Heng noticed his gaze and his dark and slightly cold eyes turned towards him. Chu Jin shivered, realizing he had made a mistake. Calling out 'Dad,' he quickly ran into the main hall.
Careless!
He actually felt that his dad was gentle today? He must have seen it wrong.
Watching the little guy run away, Chu Heng raised an eyebrow, a fleeting smile flashed in his eyes and then his serious and cold expression returned.
He stepped into the main hall and sat down at the dining table.
A bowl of his favorite dishes was already placed in front of him.
Chu Heng's mood became even more cheerful as he picked up his chopsticks and quickly started eating.
After finishing most of his meal, he finally used the milk to conclude his breakfast.
"I have the seasonal examination today and I'll be back later in the evening. If you need anything, just let Luchuan come find me." Chu Heng instructed before leaving.
Ye Muyu nodded, watching him depart. "You can go now, if I have anything, I'll let you know."
"Oh, for lunch, I've prepared some vegetarian snacks for you. The pot base is freshly made. Take it to the academy, add some hot water, and cook the fresh vegetables in it."
"You have rice at the academy, so just go buy some."
"Besides that, there's also a bowl of stir-fried meat slices. It should be enough for you alone."
"I won't give you milk to take, you can drink it when you come back in the evening. Drink it and go to bed, it's also good for sleep." Ye Muyu added.
Luchuan took the lunch box from Hu Shi and placed it in the carriage.
Chu Heng got on the carriage and nodded. "Alright, go inside. I'll be leaving."
"Yeah." Ye Muyu watched him leave.
When the carriage went far away, she turned around and went back into the courtyard.
Seeing that Chu Jin had also packed his school bag, she walked up and patted his back gently. "Jin, pay attention in class. If you listen carefully during class, it'll be easier for you to do your homework later when you come back."
"Mom, I know. You've said this many times, but you're right. Listening carefully during class makes homework much simpler and faster afterward."
"By the way, Mom, I tried yesterday and could only draw two pictures." Chu Jin felt a bit disheartened. "Mom, can I finish my homework quickly so I can save time to draw?"
"As long as you can do it, I won't stop you. The premise is that you also finish your homework seriously." Ye Muyu nodded, smiling softly.
She felt that this child was thinking too much. Although it was possible to finish homework quickly without affecting the quality, Chu Heng was strict. He would definitely not allow him to sacrifice the essentials for the trivial.
She thought this child was obedient. When he found out it was impossible, he would give up.
Ye Muyu didn't oppose the child trying it out himself. Without bumping into obstacles, how could one grow?
Chu Jin didn't know that his mom didn't have high hopes for him. He was very happy right now. "Mom, I will definitely succeed. Now, I'll go to school first."
"Go ahead." Ye Muyu smiled gently and saw him off and Zhang Cong followed him.
After sending the two away, Ye Muyu called Hu Shi.
"Hu Shi, go and milk the cows again," Ye Muyu urged.
Hu Shi smiled and thought about the matter that the master personally came to tell her. After taking the wooden bucket, she reminded, "Madam, don't come over. Just watch from there."
"Alright, I know. You go ahead." Ye Muyu was a bit helpless. She was well aware of Chu Heng's personality. The servants in the house really wouldn't dare to disobey his orders.
