Chu Ziluo looked a bit disappointed "Mom, can I learn characters while reading?"


"You can." Ye Muyu's gaze had already fallen on Hu Shi, who was milking the cow. Although she wanted to try it herself, it was definitely not feasible now. She could only watch.


"Really?" Chu Ziluo exclaimed happily pulling on Ye Muyu's sleeve and twirling around.


"I'll go get a miscellaneous record for you to read later. If there are words you don't know, you can ask me or check 'Shuowen Jiezi' yourself."


Ye Muyu had teased her daughter on purpose. Girls didn't need to study the Four Books and Five Classics. They could read more miscellaneous records but she warned her not to read things like storybooks, lest she be deceived.


At this time, Ye Muyu had no idea that her daughter would suspect her over a casual remark. She flashed a knowing smile and continued, "In a while, I'll get you a book to read. If there are words you don't know, you can ask me or check 'Shuowen Jiezi.'"


"Thank you, Mom!" Chu Ziluo happily exclaimed, pulling Ye Muyu's hand.


"Come with me."


"Yes, Mom." Chu Ziluo happily followed her inside.


Hu Shi had finished milking the cows. The daily milk production of the cows was quite high and with fewer people in the Chu family, they couldn't consume it all.


"Child, what are you still doing here? Go serve Miss." Hu Shi drove Nenya away.

Hu Shi carried the milk out of the cowshed and said to Zhang Shu, "Give more good grass to this cow. Madam said that from now on, Master, Young Master, and Miss should drink milk every day. We can't let the milk production stop."
