Chapter 1122: Coming from Dong'an Prefecture
Madam Yao had learned from her nephew's vague words that the girl and he had met on a boat. In other words, she wasn't originally from the capital.
Zhu mama was quite curious about the girl's background, as the masters had spent the past five years in the southwest. Besides people from the capital, there might be acquaintances from that region.

Though she had been with the Yao family for some time, she had never heard of any relatives from Dong'an Prefecture.
While she was still pondering, the sound of hurried footsteps came from behind.
Zhu mama subconsciously turned around and said in surprise, "Master?"
Shu Yu also turned around and indeed saw Yao Tianqin, who looked anxious, as if he had just returned from outside the residence.
Yao Tianqin looked up and froze when he saw Shu Yu, rubbing his eyes and muttering softly, "Could it be that I've been looking at too many blueprints today?"
He took a few more steps forward.

Shu Yu walked ahead with Yao Tianqin, while Ying Xi followed behind.
Zhu mama was momentarily stunned, then hurriedly caught up.
However, her gaze at Shu Yu's back now held a hint of curiosity. The fact that she was so familiar with the master was surprising. Since Yao Tianqin became the Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Works, they had received guests one after another, but when it came to the female family members, Yao Tianqin usually just nodded and had his wife entertain them. He rarely said much, especially to younger ones.
People who didn't know thought Yao Tianqin was still as focused on his official duties as before, and he didn't like socializing.

Even when the young master and others who recently came to visit, Yao Tianqin only inquired about the family situation briefly and maintained a respectful distance. It was completely different from the way he was now—smiling, familiar, and talking much more, almost chatty.
"How is your father? After you returned to Dong'an Prefecture, he sent me a letter, which arrived just last month. It was quite slow. He mentioned planning to open a shop. Has the shop opened?"
Shu Yu smiled, "When I set off for the capital, the shop hadn't opened yet. My father was busy repairing my courtyard. He started preparing after the housewarming banquet, and I believe it's open now. My father's business is doing well."
Yao Tianqin paused, calculated the time in his mind, and then furrowed his brow, "Then you must have arrived in the capital a long time ago?"
