Ye Muyu and Chu Heng were already sitting in the east wing room. Chu Ziluo stood at the door of the west wing room and happily called out to Chu Heng. Chu Heng asked her to stay inside to avoid getting wet, saying he needed to change clothes.
Chu Ziluo naturally wouldn't chase after him and just saw her parents entering the room.
As soon as Ye Muyu entered the room, she asked with concern, "Is it your outer garment or inner clothes that got wet?"
"It's your dress that got wet." Chu Heng had found Ye Muyu's clothes from the box, including clean embroidered shoes and outer garments.
He reached out to grab Ye Muyu's clothes.
Ye Muyu was slightly surprised and quickly grabbed his big hand. Both reached out at the same time, and her hand was unexpectedly caught. She felt the warmth of his palm, and in shock, she instinctively withdrew her hand.
But her ears slowly started to feel warm. "I... I can do it myself. Actually, it's just a bit of the hem of the skirt, not too serious. But I see that you got damp on the carriage and your clothes have absorbed moisture. You should change to avoid catching a cold."
Ye Muyu got up and walked to the side of the clothes box, reaching out to select his clothes.
At this moment, a large hand suddenly reached over from behind, grabbing the hand she used to take clothes. Immediately after, a warm chest pressed against her back. Even though Chu Heng was wearing two layers of clothes, Ye Muyu still felt the warmth on her back.
She shivered, and in the next instant, Chu Heng gently embraced her from behind.
The man's head rested on her shoulder and his heavy breath fell on her neck. Ye Muyu's ears instantly turned red.
"Chu Heng, you..."
"Call me Ah Heng." Chu Heng's voice rarely carried a determined tone and a hint of expectation mixed with anxiety.
Ye Muyu's fingertips curled slightly. Due to the man's proximity, she heard these words unexpectedly. She opened her lips, and after a while, she softly called out, "Ah Heng."
Chu Heng instantly smiled, his whole person radiating a joyful expression.
"Ah Heng, the clothes are selected. You should change first." Ye Muyu tried to stay calm. Although her face was already flushed, thinking about the relationship between the two, resisting too much seemed a bit excessive. After all, Chu Heng had treated her well and now it should be that he missed his family after being away for too long.
Chu Heng held her for a while before making a sound of acknowledgment.
Following that, Ye Muyu heard the sound of clothes rustling behind her.
She lowered her head, looking at the tip of her shoes, trying hard to shift her attention.
This strategy worked quite well. Because of looking at the mud on the hem of her dress and shoes, she frowned. She had already been contemplating how to clean both the clothes and shoes thoroughly after some time.
