Chapter 544: Seeing Clearly Inside
As Chu Heng left, Ye Muyu couldn't help but reach out and touch her forehead, as if recalling the feeling of his lips on it.
She felt that the rapid development of today had inadvertently led her to accept Chu Heng staying in her life, becoming someone very important to her.
She asked her inner self, and reluctantly admitted that she didn't dislike it. So why bother being conflicted?
Ye Muyu felt relieved and her whole body relaxed.
Once relaxed, she felt a bit tired especially since it was time for her usual rest. Before long she fell asleep with a faint smile on her lips.
When Chu Heng finished washing up and returned to the room, he saw Ye Muyu's gentle and peaceful sleeping face.
He walked over to the oil lamp and extinguished it.
Then he took off his outer clothes and lay down, naturally and skillfully pulling her into his arms. He gently sniffed the faint fragrance that belonged to Ah Yu from the tip of her nose, feeling particularly satisfied. He closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep.
Early the next morning.
Ye Muyu felt herself in a protected state.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw herself being held in Chu Heng's arms. The man was sleeping particularly quietly with long black eyelashes scattered on his eyelids. His handsome face carried a hint of coldness, which almost attracted her with just a glance.
"Wake up." Ye Muyu gently pushed him while reaching out to feel his forehead with her palm, reassuring herself that he didn't have a high fever.
"Ah Yu, are you worried about me?" Ye Muyu's hand was grabbed by Chu Heng as he pressed her hand on top of her head.
Ye Muyu was slightly stunned and before she could react she saw Chu Heng's deep eyes darken, and in the next instant, his handsome face leaned in, kissing her squarely on the lips.
"You... um..." Ye Muyu only managed to let out a whimper before being kissed by the man on the bed.
As she felt his warmth, Ye Muyu's whole body stiffened. With misty eyes, she looked at him pleadingly.
Chu Heng also stiffened all over. To prevent himself from doing anything impulsive, he quickly rolled over and sat up.
"How could you..." Ye Muyu's words were cut off before she could finish, as she heard Chu Heng's voice, tinged with a hint of seduction, softly saying, "Ah Yu, if you keep looking at me with those innocent eyes, I won't be able to control myself."
Ye Muyu quickly sat up, blinking her eyes seriously. "You must control yourself!"
"And... you used to be able to control yourself before, without any pressure." Ye Muyu finished, looking at him with considerable suspicion. Was this man intentionally teasing her?
Chu Heng was at a loss for words, feeling as if he had been rejected!
"Alright, get dressed first." Chu Heng frowned.
It wasn't very hot in the morning, but Ye Muyu had a cold body, so it was best not to catch a chill.
Ye Muyu saw that he had controlled himself and breathed a sigh of relief, obediently getting out of bed to dress.
It wasn't until she discovered that the inner lining of her underwear was loose that she blushed slightly and looked at Chu Heng with some suspicion.
Chu Heng noticed her realization, and although his ears turned red, his face remained calm as he pretended not to understand her gaze.
After watching for a while and seeing no unusual reaction from him, Ye Muyu thought she had misunderstood. After all, how could Chu Heng be the kind of person who secretly did intimate things to her? He was clearly a gentleman.
This little incident ended inconclusively in Ye Muyu's uncertainty.
