Chapter 41: Is Xiao Fu Bao Disliked? The Whole City Loves Me With Their Lives
Chapter 41: Rescued
"Don’t panic, Suisui. Stay calm!"
"Don’t struggle, don’t provoke the traffickers."
"Let’s wait for rescue and try to find another escape route."
"Even though Prince Qing will come to rescue us, we can’t be too passive."
Seeing her brother crying, Suisui panicked.
She wanted to comfort him, but with her mouth tightly gagged, she couldn’t make a sound.
She could only move awkwardly towards Feng Xuanrui.
Noticing the movement beside him, Feng Xuanrui looked up and saw that Suisui was trying to move closer to him. Her wrists were already red from the ropes. He quickly widened his eyes and shook his head at Suisui.
He wanted to say: "Sister, don’t move. It hurts!"
But Suisui wasn’t reassured and kept moving towards him.
Feng Xuanrui, seeing this, mimicked her actions.
Qing Shan and Qing Shui, initially stunned, also moved closer.
The four of them managed to huddle together. Before they could figure out how to remove the gags, the door of the firewood room was forcefully pushed open, and a coarse voice came from the doorway: "If this one isn’t good, I won’t take it!"
As she spoke, a burly woman with a large build entered.
The woman first noticed Feng Xuanrui...
With his red lips, white teeth, and a delicate, noble appearance.
She looked him up and down with an evaluating gaze, clicking her tongue as she observed: "This age is good. Our clients over there like this type. The figure is decent, though a bit plump. A few days of hunger will make him look much better."
When she saw Qing Shan and Qing Shui, the woman was somewhat disdainful: "These two are of average quality, just an addition."
Finally, the woman noticed the small Suisui. Frowning, she remarked, "Why is there a little monk here?"
Suisui wore a blue, oversized garment with a neutral color, and without her hair, her age made her easily mistaken for a boy.
The woman thought her frame wasn’t very promising but could be improved with some care.
However, the woman aimed to haggle and certainly wouldn’t tell the truth.
If Feng Xuanrui hadn’t been so satisfactory, she wouldn’t have spoken so much.
Satisfied with the goods, the woman turned and began to negotiate the price with the elderly woman who had initially received them.
Their conversation was blunt and crude, treating the four of them as mere merchandise.
Feng Xuanrui was infuriated and would have kicked and struggled if he weren’t so tightly bound. He would have made them pay for it!
The woman who entered later saw Feng Xuanrui struggling and teased him with a smile: "Oh, such a nimble waist. No need to rush to show off. You’ll have plenty of time to prove yourself."
He didn’t fully understand her words but grasped the malice behind them.
This made him struggle even more fiercely!
Perhaps anger unleashed hidden potential.
In his struggles, Feng Xuanrui managed to kick the woman’s calf.
The sudden kick caught the woman off guard, causing her to instinctively step back in pain and gasp, "Hiss!"
This kick ignited the woman’s fury.
She turned around and kicked Feng Xuanrui twice: "You worthless thing, you’re so ungrateful!"
After kicking him twice, still not satisfied, the woman raised her foot to kick him again.
She thought, since she would have to train them anyway, she might as well start early.
Seeing her brother being kicked, Suisui struggled with all her might.
When the woman was about to kick Feng Xuanrui again, Suisui suddenly leaped and landed on Feng Xuanrui’s legs.
Suisui intended to shield him from the blows.
She wasn’t afraid of being beaten; she was protecting her brother!
Feng Xuanrui, after being kicked twice, was filled with anger.
Unfortunately, he could do nothing.
As the woman prepared to strike again, Suisui jumped to protect him, and Feng Xuanrui nearly swallowed the rag in his mouth!
The young boy, eyes filled with rage and murder, used all his strength but only managed to move slightly.
Watching his sister take the hits for him was a torturous agony for Feng Xuanrui.
What was even more painful was that he couldn’t rescue his sister!
This made his tears flow even more.
Meanwhile, Qing Shan and Qing Shui, who were usually quite capable, were helpless in this situation.
They were both furious and frustrated.
But before the woman’s beating could continue...
Prince Qing’s flying knife intervened.
A cold, sharp short blade whizzed through the air, carrying a murderous intent.
The woman felt something fly past, her leg erupted in severe pain, causing her to collapse and scream.
The elderly woman, realizing something was wrong, turned to flee.
But Prince Qing and the others quickly jumped in, kicking her away.
Boom!
The elderly woman flew a short distance before crashing into a wall.
She then fell silent.
Zhan Gao had already moved in, efficiently disabling the elderly woman's legs.
The excruciating pain made the pretending elderly woman scream in agony!
The woman looked at this scene in horror, realizing they had been discovered or, more likely, had antagonized someone they couldn’t handle!
At this moment, Prince Qing’s short knife had sliced off a large chunk of meat from the woman’s leg.
The leg was now a bloody mess, and the pain made it difficult for her to move even slightly.
Realizing her predicament, the woman began to beg for mercy, "Please spare me, mighty warrior! Please spare me!"
As she begged, the elderly woman also started pleading.
Zhan Gao and his team quickly tied them up.
Prince Qing’s attendants also restrained the others in the courtyard.
These people were likely experienced in such scams, while the woman seemed to be an old brothel madam.
There might be some special interests involved.
But no one could be more important than Prince Qing and Prince Qi!
While the others handled the aftermath, Prince Qing crouched down to free the children from their bonds.
Once freed, Feng Xuanrui cried as he pulled out the rag and threw it on the ground, clutching Prince Qing’s leg and wailing, "Uncle Prince Qing, sob, they tricked me, tricked me!!!"
Feng Xuanrui, bound and beaten, slowly realized they had been deceived.
They had been deceived by a seemingly cute little girl.
In that moment, the filter of the "sister" identity shattered significantly.
But in the end, Suisui’s desperate actions helped restore some of that filter.
Feeling a mix of discomfort and grievance, Feng Xuanrui’s adolescent heart shattered into pieces.
The boy’s cries filled the air, and Suisui carefully held his hand, trying to offer comfort and strength.
Feeling his sister’s warmth, Feng Xuanrui cried even louder!
