Naturally, Mo Yan wouldn’t agree; she still wanted to see what the Lingzhi would turn into. Would it turn black as she imagined?
Black Lingzhi?
Forgive her for not having seen or even heard of it before. Even in its red state, it made Da Bai salivate, and it was already struggling to control itself in its purple state. If it turned black... this fellow might just ignore her and swallow it whole.
"Alright, Da Bai, stop looking. Even if you keep looking, I won't let you eat it now." Mo Yan chuckled and patted its head, leading it to the orchard.
This fellow might not be as gluttonous as Xiao Hua, but its reaction to the Lingzhi was much more intense than Xiao Hua's every time.
"Woo—"
Da Bai let out a low growl, reluctantly backing away, but still glancing back at Mo Yan, licking its lips, showing a very eager-to-eat expression.
With various fruits picked and placed in baskets for Xiao Hua and Da Bai to eat.
Both of them had big mouths; they could easily bite into a large apple, chew it a few times, and swallow it. In no time, the two baskets of fruits were emptied.
The little furball was a month old now, and its teeth had grown quite a bit. It loved to eat fruits imbued with spiritual energy. However, its mouth was small and weak, so it ate slowly. It took quite a while to finish eating an apple, but its belly was finally full.
Mo Yan hadn’t given alcohol to Xiao Hua despite it always being by her side, thinking animals wouldn’t drink alcohol. But now, seeing Da Bai enjoying it so much, Xiao Hua also wanted to learn, sniffing around the wine jar.
When it found a flavor it liked, it also bit open the seal and stuck its big head in. Once it started drinking, it couldn’t stop.
Mo Yan was collecting medicinal herbs and seeds in the medicinal garden and didn’t notice the actions of the two fellows. When she realized something was pressing against her leg, she found the two wine-loving fellows with their heads stuck in wine jars, knocking against her legs for help.
It turned out their heads were too big, and the jar openings were too small. While drinking, they unconsciously stuck their heads inside, and when the wine in the jar was gone, their heads were stuck and couldn’t come out.
"Ha-ha—"
Seeing the sorry state of the two fellows, Mo Yan couldn't help but laugh. Seeing them shake their heads and sway, desperate and howling, she laughed even more heartily.
When Little Furball heard her laughter, it quickly lifted its head to look over. Whether or not it understood, it ran over and circled around the two big fellows with wine jar caps, howling as if mocking them, its little tail wagging up and down, seemingly mocking them.
When Mo Yan had enough laughter, she finally went forward to help. However, the jar openings were too small, and she couldn’t pull them off. Worried about hurting their necks, she had to bring a small hoe and break the wine jars to rescue the two clumsy wolves.
Xiao Hua had thick skin, so it didn’t care about being teased and continued to run around joyfully. But Da Bai was embarrassed for the first time, laughed at by Mo Yan. It lay on the ground, covering its head with its big tail, showing a don’t-come-near-me expression.
However, Xiao Hua wasn’t one to read the atmosphere; covered in chicken feathers, it came over to bother Da Bai. Irritated, Da Bai bit it, not too hard, but enough to make Xiao Hua feel sad.
Once the two big fellows calmed down, Little Furball insisted on grooming their wolf whiskers. Fortunately, the two big ones knew the little one was too weak to play roughly. Though they grumbled impatiently, they let it climb all over them and tumble around.
