PWDLAW Chapter 209: Making Trouble Unreasonably

 Chapter 209: Making Trouble Unreasonably

Although she was willing to give two months for consideration, if anyone heard the divorce rumors and came to ask her or mock her, would life still be worth living?

"I will handle this matter." Chu Heng said with a sarcastic smile. "After all, it was caused by me."

"Never mind, I'm leaving." Chu Heng decisively turned around taking a few steps before pausing. He didn't hear the woman calling him which increased his anger. He shook his sleeves and left.

Watching him leave, Ye Muyu knew he was angry.

She reached out as if to grab his hand but withdrew it, silently watching the man depart.

Isn't the choice in his hands? Why be angry?

Ye Muyu frowned, pondered for a while, and decided not to dwell on Chu Heng's unreasonable behavior. She took off her shoes and outerwear, lay on the bed, closed her eyes, and began to nap.

When Ye Muyu woke up from her nap, Ye Pozi blocked her at the door.

"Mother?" Ye Muyu looked at her in confusion. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just wonder if you and your husband are having a conflict?" Ye Pozi asked softly, glancing towards the direction of the study.

"Mother, no." Ye Muyu replied.

Ye Pozi didn't believe her. "Really? Then why did your husband come back home and go to the study instead of seeing you?"

"The provincial exam is approaching and he can't afford to delay." Ye Muyu explained.

Upon hearing this, Ye Pozi patted her head and said, "You make sense."

"Alright, I won't interfere in the affairs of you young people. By the way, daughter, come over and see how the pickled vegetables I made are. If they're good, I'll go home early."

"Okay." Ye Muyu went to the kitchen and looked at the pickled vegetables Ye Pozi made. Although it was still too early to eat, the aroma was already noticeable.

"Mother, you did a great job. Just stick to this method." Ye Muyu affirmed.

Happy, Ye Pozi said, "That's good. I won't bother you with your matters. If you have anything, just come back to your mother's house."

Ye Muyu nodded and she called for Luchuan to send Ye Pozi and Ye Zhao home.

Chu Liushi, Zhang, and Wang had left earlier. After Chu Heng got angry and Chu Yun left, Chu Liushi didn't want to stay either. She wanted to take Chu Yun home to talk.

Zhang and Wang were also called away by Chu Liushi.

After seeing off Ye Pozi, Ye Muyu looked at the sky, then entered the kitchen. Hu was making shoes in the room. Seeing Ye Muyu, she put down her work and followed her in.

"Madam."

Ye Muyu waved her hand. "Go on with your work. Make sure to prepare the bedding for your needs as soon as possible."

"Yes." Hu replied and bowed, then left.

Ye Muyu saw that the kitchen was cleaned up and put several jars of pickled vegetables on the long table. There weren't many vegetables left but what was left would be enough for dinner.

Leaving the kitchen, Ye Muyu went to the west wing, to her daughter Ziluo's room.

Ziluo was teaching her little servant to recognize characters. When she saw Ye Muyu, she stood up happily and hugged her mother's waist, acting coquettishly, "Mom, you're awake? I've completed today's writing task. Look."

Ye Muyu was pulled over and saw two sheets of paper on the desk, densely filled with small regular script characters.

Ziluo, who was naturally frugal, didn't want to waste paper. As a result, her writing was small but it seemed that she had put in some effort. The characters were becoming more orderly. It showed that she had been working hard.

"Very good." Ye Muyu smiled and rubbed her daughter's head, praising her.

"Madam." Nenya quickly bowed.
