PWDLAW Chapter 235: Growing Affection
Chapter 235: Growing Affection
"Did you make this yourself?" Chu Heng's voice was somewhat hoarse as he looked at Ye Muyu with intense fiery eyes.
"Not entirely, some of it." Ye Muyu replied, placing the lunchbox down. "Hurry, don't let me delay you."
With that she took a step back.
Chu Heng wanted to say, "You're not delaying me." but saying such things openly during the day in front of others was difficult for him.
Looking at her with tender eyes, he said, "If there's anything, let Luchuan inform me. Don't worry, I've got everything under control."
"...Alright." Ye Muyu looked at Chu Heng's gentle expression. If she ignored the somewhat possessive look in his eyes, she could remain calm.
However, when she realized that his gaze was directed at her as if she were his wife, Ye Muyu couldn't stay indifferent.
Her eyes flickered, and she lowered her head to conceal the change in her emotions. She said, "Go on, everything will be fine at home."
"Mm." Chu Heng spoke no more.
When the carriage finally left, Ye Muyu raised her head and sighed gently.
After seeing Chu Heng off, Ye Muyu remembered Xie Yu's visit yesterday, where he had urged her about the pickled vegetables business.
She thought about seizing business opportunities when they arose.
Ye Muyu called for Zhang Shu, saying, "Zhang Shu, take the mule cart to the old house and pick up the pickled vegetables that are ready. After that, go to Dazhu Village nearby and help transport my mother, Ye Pozi's pickled vegetables to Piaoxiang restaurant in the county."
"Remember to have the shopkeeper at Piaoxiang restaurant check the goods when you deliver the pickled vegetables." Ye Muyu instructed.
"Got it, Madam." Zhang Shu said, remembering all of Ye Muyu's instructions. "Should I go now?"
"Yes, go ahead."
Zhang Shu then left with the mule cart.
The pickled vegetables which had been marinating for about ten days, were ready to be eaten. Ye Muyu had personally taught the process to both families, so she wasn't worried about meeting the requirements of Piaoxiang restaurant.
"Madam, the medicine for colds is ready." Hu called out from the kitchen.
Indeed, someone in the family had caught a cold.
It was Chu Jin.
During this period, in addition to studying at the school, he completed his homework and made the Zhuge Suo at home.
Children are carefree but because he had to get up early in the morning when he couldn't work by lamp light, he ended up catching a cold.
Worried that others in the family might also catch a cold, Ye Muyu went to the medicine shop to get some medicine. Everyone in the family would take it.
"Ah-choo!" Chu Jin sneezed, rubbed his nose, and his face turned slightly red. However, he didn't have a fever, otherwise, Ye Muyu wouldn't be so calm.
"Mom, can I skip the medicine?" Chu Jin asked pitifully.
"No, you can't. Drink it quickly. If it gets cold, I'll heat it up for you again. Isn't this just giving your mother something to do?" Ye Muyu shook her head, rejecting his attempt to avoid the medicine.
"Can I eat honey candies after finishing the medicine?" Chu Jin struggled.
"Sure."
Upon hearing this, Chu Jin's eyes instantly lit up. Holding the medicine bowl, he drank it in one go. After finishing, his whole face wrinkled. Without waiting for Ye Muyu to hand him the honey candies, he picked one up from the plate and stuffed it into his mouth, smoothing out his expression.
Seeing his childish behavior, Ye Muyu shook her head with a smile.
"You've caught a cold. I've already asked Zhang Cong to inform the school for your leave today. Just rest at home. Finish your usual homework, that's enough."
"Mom, I know. Don't worry I won't neglect my studies." Chu Jin assured, grabbing Ye Muyu's sleeve and shaking it. He then quickly mentioned what he had been wanting to say, "Mom, I want to sell Zhuge Suo."
