PWDLAW Chapter 206: Looking for Trouble?

 Chapter 206: Looking for Trouble?

"You don't want to tell me?" Chu Heng frowned. "Even if you don't, I can find out."

Ye Muyu looked at him and spoke after a while "Are you thinking of divorcing?"

"Who said that?" Chu Heng's expression instantly turned unpleasant. However, a hint of guilt flashed in his eyes. He had indeed considered divorcing Ye Yunlan but not Ye Muyu.

Luckily, he hadn't gone through with it. Otherwise...

Chu Heng felt a surge of relief just thinking about it.

Seeing Ye Muyu's indifferent expression, Chu Heng suddenly felt uneasy. He sat on the edge of the bed and reached out to touch her hand.

Ye Muyu instinctively pulled away.

Chu Heng pursed his lips hesitated for a moment and then said, "It's not what you think. I just wanted to divorce Ye Yunlan, not you."

"Do you like me?" Ye Muyu lifted her head and looked at him.

Chu Heng, facing her direct question without any shyness, felt uneasy. "What do you think?"

He looked at her intently, not wanting to miss any details.

When Ye Muyu asked this question, she regretted it a bit. As she looked at the man in front of her, a hint of embarrassment inexplicably crept into her heart.

"Perhaps you're not clear about what you really want." Ye Muyu took a deep breath and maintained eye contact. "Take your time to think about it. I won't rush you."

"I already know about this matter, it was leaked by the Clan Leader's wife."

"I'll give you three months to think it over. No need to hurry with the answer." Ye Muyu said, interrupting Chu Heng when he seemed about to say something.

Three months later, the provincial examination results would be released. Ye Muyu thought it would be better for Chu Heng to make a decision before that.

She couldn't help but feel a bit suspicious. Perhaps it was because Chu Heng could easily give up an eight-year relationship with the original owner that made her feel a bit uneasy. She didn't want to invest too much emotion to avoid complications later on.

Chu Heng, with dark eyes fixed on her, replied, "Three months? That's enough."

"Yeah." Ye Muyu felt a bit overwhelmed by Chu Heng's gaze. Unconsciously, she reflected on whether her words had touched some bottom line of ancient men.

Just as she was deep in thought, Chu Heng stood up and his expression returned to normal, as if nothing had changed.

"Starting tomorrow, I'll be teaching at the school. If you need anything, just ask Zhang Shu and Hu Shi. If you need to do business in the future, call for Luchuan."

"I understand." Ye Muyu nodded. She knew that Chu Xing was going to start building the house, so for the next two months, he wouldn't have time for business. She had worried about it, but with Luchuan available, the immediate crisis was resolved.

"Have you taken your medicine?" Chu Heng asked as he looked at her.

Ye Muyu nodded, "I've taken it."

"Then I'll go to the study to read. Rest and don't worry about anything." Chu Heng said gently.

Ye Muyu watched him regain his usual attitude. Feeling a bit uncertain about his thoughts, she hesitated for a moment before nodding.

Chu Heng didn't say more. He turned and went to the study.

Just as Ye Muyu was about to lie down and rest, someone knocked on the door.

She put on her shoes and walked over only to find Chu Liushi and Chu Yun at the door.

Seeing Chu Yun, Ye Muyu's expression remained calm. She stepped aside to let the two of them in.

After closing the door, Chu Yun's first words were, "Ye Yunlan, have you really changed? Or is it an act? But you've done a great job this time, even fooling Third Brother."

Ye Muyu's face instantly cooled down. Chu Yun didn't seem sincere in coming to apologize.
