Qin Ruan shrugged her arm off, moving a distance away from Shang Yang. Their eyes locked in a tense confrontation.
Ruan Ruan silently mouthed two words to Chang Yuan, "Let's talk?"
Although there was some distance between them and Chang Yuan, she didn't speak out loud, being cautious.
Chang Yuan squinted his blood-red eyes and fell into silence for a moment before nodding reluctantly.
The two, a human and a snake, walked into a sparse forest.

"You keep going like this, you'll only harm Xiao Yunchen. He's a human and can't handle such dense demonic and malevolent energy," Ruan Ruan warned.
"I know!" Chang Yuan sneered contemptuously, his eyes revealing a hint of hostility. "I'm just trying something recently, seeing if Xiao Yunchen can accept the existence of snakes in his dreams one day."
Qin Ruan raised her eyebrows slightly. "Do you think it's feasible after seeing Xiao Yunchen's aversion just now?"
Chang Yuan tightened his lips into a straight line, his expression cold and fierce. "I don't have any other ideas at the moment."
He had thought of and tried all possible methods, but his master's aversion only grew stronger.

He lied.
Qin Ruan noticed, but she didn't press further. If he didn't want to say, she couldn't force him.

"Madam."
Hou Qiang slowly approached, feeling that the area was colder than when he arrived.
He lowered his head in respect and said, "Second Young Master was delayed at the banquet and heard that you were leaving. He asked us to escort you back."
"Understood," Qin Ruan replied, turning around and calling out to Rong Jing.
