The three turned around and walked away.

Nian Che caught up to her and said, "Little sister-in-law, I finally found you!"

Ning Qing tightened her grip on the wine glass and looked at him without saying a word.

Nian Che lowered himself to look at her beautiful face and there was a hint of worry in his astonishment.

"Little sister-in-law, why is your face so pale? Are you feeling unwell?"

Ning Qing avoided him and put down the wine glass. "It's nothing."

"Don't be polite with me. We're family."

Nian Che's heroic eyebrows were tightly furrowed, and his concern was evident.

"If you really have any problems, just tell me. Otherwise, if my brother finds out, he'll think it's because I didn't take care of you."

Ning Qing knew what Nian Lian's attitude towards her was. Almost everyone around him knew it. Did this Nian Che really not know or was he pretending not to know?

Ning Qing listened to the two of them arguing, from initial surprise to gradually becoming calm, and then to confusion.

Nian Che stood up for her, which shook her a little.

But did his parents really dislike her?

Personally speaking I don't like the novel, I don't like the characters and their personality and the plot itself but since I decided to have it translated I must continue it and maybe through time I will eventually like this novel
