Shu Yu's hand, raised to knock on the door, froze in midair. She furrowed her brow and made a gesture to Da Niu, signaling him to be quiet.

In the next moment, a voice filled with a strange tone came from inside, "Little Third Sister, look at what you're saying. It's already mealtime, and we've been waiting for you. We thought you had already found something to eat outside. If that were the case, we would have finished the food by now."

Da Ya clutched her clothes corners with both hands and said softly, "But I haven't eaten anything all day."

Shu Yu's face turned cold. She grabbed a clump of dirt from the courtyard wall, ready to throw it. Da Niu, who had followed her and was also peering over the wall, widened his eyes in astonishment.

However, just then, an old woman came out of the house and looked sternly at the three daughters-in-law. "What are you arguing about? Aren't you afraid of being laughed at?"

Zhou and Feng immediately let go of Da Ya and walked over to the woman with smiles on their faces. "Mother, did we disturb you?"

"Mother, it's not our fault. It's Little Third Sister. As soon as she came back, she interrogated us about why we didn't save her any food."

Shu Yu climbed down from the wall, and Da Niu quickly followed. "Ah Yu, don't worry. Let's go and bring Da Ya out now. Zhang's family has gone too far in their mistreatment."
