Shu Yu walked straight home and saw Liang Shi at the door. Liang Shi must have known what she had done and gave her a guilty smile before heading back into the house.

Da Ya? Shu Yu had actually heard San Ya mention this elder sister before. She had married into Dayan Village and lived a mediocre life, with many family matters to attend to and few opportunities to return home.

This basket was not here when she left yesterday. Now, not only was it here, but there was also a piece of cloth suitable for making clothes for a girl. She didn't need to think twice to know that it was probably a gift from Da Ya.

She was struggling to get by, yet Da Ya still sent such a nice gift. She didn't know how long Da Ya had been saving up for this.

Shu Yu touched the cloth and then picked up the basket before going back inside. She rearranged the yard, fed the chickens, and then began to examine the whole yard.

Shu Yu wanted to build another room. She couldn't leave for the time being, and the Lu family wouldn't let her leave either. She needed her own private space because she still had some secrets to keep. Having an independent room would be more convenient.

But she couldn't let her grandmother stay at Uncle's house forever. That wouldn't look good. If she added a room, the cost wouldn't be too high, and it would only take a few days.

While building the room, she could also repair the damaged parts, making life more comfortable for the whole family.
