"A thief?" Su Xun asked with a slightly raised tone.

"I understand." Su Xun replied with a gentle smile gazing at her affectionately. His deep and resolute eyes carried a tenderness that could drown someone.

Luo Liyan's heart raced like a wild deer.

Suddenly, her phone rang, interrupting the pink bubbles that had filled the air between them.

She blinked and quickly lowered her head, avoiding Su Xun's gaze.

The name displayed on the screen made her delicate eyebrows knit like two earthworms.

After hesitating for a few seconds, she took a deep breath and answered the call.

"Hello..."

"Did your little brother run off to find you?" a woman's voice came through arrogantly.

"Yes." Luo Liyan replied cooly.

"First, take good care of Xiao Ze. Let your father calm down before allowing him to come back." the woman ordered, taking it for granted. Then, after a pause, her tone turned impatient. "And how dare you speak to me like that?"

That's how she talks!

Luo Liyan rolled her eyes and retorted in her heart "Lu Jingze can't stay with me, I'll send him back now."

"Mom! Mom! Save me! Luo Liyan is bullying me again!" Upon hearing his mother's phone call, Lu Jingze immediately howled.

"You unfilial daughter, what are you doing bullying your little brother?" her voice grew sharp. "How did I give birth to such an ungrateful money-losing wretch? If something happens to your little brother, I'll break your legs!"

"Heh..." Luo Liyan coldly chuckled, her eyes filled with disdain.

The original owner of this body was truly gullible. Faced with such family members every day, she actually listened to their orders, ruining her life.

"Are you really sure you want to break my legs? Don't forget your precious son is currently in my hands."

The woman fell silent when she heard this.

She knew that if she pushed too hard, this unfilial daughter would not show any mercy to her little brother.
