Chapter 88: Night Before the Divorce the Villainous Family Can Hear My Thoughts!
Chapter 88: Brother Yunshan, Your Little Wife Isn’t as Beautiful as Mrs. Huo
“What did you say?!”
Li Qingxue felt the world spinning, her head buzzing incessantly.
Her furious eyes locked onto Li An An. “What did you do? Li An An, what did you do?!”
Li An An looked confused, responding indifferently, “Sis, it’s just reciprocity! Yushu gave us a gift, so of course, we have to return the favor!”
“Yushu and I are close sisters. I originally picked out two watches—one for her and one for me, matching sister styles. But your card didn’t even have five million on it!”
“Sis, what’s going on? Didn’t you save a lot of money over the past two years? Where did it all go?”
“Sis, don’t tell me you gave it all to Huo…”
“Li An An, shut up!” Li Qingxue interrupted through gritted teeth, glaring at her. “You… you’re right! Reciprocity is the proper thing to do. You did the right thing!”
But inside, she was fuming!
Five million! She shouldn’t have handed over her card to Li An An… No, wait! She had never given Li An An the card. So how did Li An An get her card?
And how did she even know the password?!
Suppressing her rage, Li Qingxue walked over to Huo Yushu with a forced smile. “Yushu, as long as you like it.”
Huo Yushu smiled faintly. “It’s okay, I guess. Not particularly my style. After all, the one I really wanted couldn’t be charged to your card.”
Li Qingxue: “…”
The urge to slap someone is strong right now.
“Sis-in-law, let’s go!” Huo Yushu linked arms with Shen Cheng. “We still need to handle things at the Seventh Workshop. No time to waste. My brother is really generous, isn’t he? Giving you all twelve shops at Yun Jiuting.”
Their voices faded as they walked away, eventually disappearing from Li Qingxue’s sight.
Her mind kept echoing the words: “Giving you all twelve shops at Yun Jiuting.”
Ah! Ah! Ah!
She was about to lose it, going utterly mad!
She had been eyeing those shops for so long!
Even if Huo Xingjian had given her just one, she would’ve been overjoyed.
But now, they were all given to Shen Cheng.
Li Qingxue felt the world going black and fainted on the spot.
Before losing consciousness, she vaguely heard Huo Yushu’s voice:
“Sis-in-law, you don’t like this watch? Oh, never mind then. Let’s return it downstairs. I agree, having cash in hand is always more comforting.”
“Sis-in-law, I’ll give the money to you!”
---
Huo Yuyan, on the other hand, went straight to the hospital.
She had to get the implants removed and, of course, schedule a new appointment to replace them.
As for the injury between her legs… she bought medicine from a pharmacy herself.
Cursing all the way, she finally returned home.
And then—
She was dumbfounded.
“What are you doing!” she screamed, pain momentarily forgotten, as she ran into the villa courtyard.
Several men were moving furniture piece by piece out of her house.
A small truck was parked in the yard, loaded with a high-quality set of solid wood furniture.
“Who are you people?! Why are you in our house?! Put it down, all of you, put it down! What gives you the right to move our stuff!” she shrieked, her face twisted with anger.
“And who are you?” one of the movers glanced her way with disdain. “Get lost! Don’t get in our way.”
“I’m getting in your way?! You’re moving things out of my house! How dare you talk to me like that! I’m warning you, you’d better put everything back where it was, or I’ll make sure you spend a few days behind bars!”
Huo Yuyan gritted her teeth, her eyes wide with fury.
“Your house?” The man gave her another once-over, then burst into laughter. “Oh, come on, young lady, don’t talk so big!”
“This villa belongs to someone with the surname Jin. She didn’t want these second-hand pieces of furniture anymore and sold them to us. I spent a solid five hundred thousand in cold, hard cash—”
“Pah!” Huo Yuyan spat at him. “What nonsense! We’re the Huo family! This is our house! Do you have any idea who my father is? You dare trespass on our property?”
“You just wait—I’m calling my dad! Don’t touch anything! Nobody moves! Stay right there!”
She whipped out her phone and called Huo Yunshan.
At that moment, Huo Yunshan had just completed the discharge procedures at the hospital. Accompanied by the old matriarch and Yu Fengcai, he was walking toward the car parked outside the hospital.
Seeing Huo Yuyan’s call, he frowned slightly in irritation before answering, “What is it?”
“Dad, come quickly! Someone’s trespassed into our house and is moving our furniture! I caught them red-handed, they’re still in the courtyard! Dad, hurry home!” Huo Yuyan’s anxious voice carried a hint of sobbing.
“What?!” Huo Yunshan exclaimed in shock. “Who dares?! What nerve to break into our house! Hold them there—we’re coming back immediately. Also, call the police!”
“You’re just a girl; don’t confront them directly. Wait for the police and us to arrive first!”
“Got it!” Huo Yuyan replied, shooting a fierce glare at the man. “You’re done for, I’m telling you! My parents will be here any minute!”
“What’s going on? Trespassing?” The old matriarch turned to Huo Yunshan, confused.
Yu Fengcai also looked at him in bewilderment.
“Yuyan says someone broke into our house and is moving the furniture. These damned riffraff! How dare they touch our property! Let’s get home, now! I want to see who has the guts to pull this off!” Huo Yunshan growled, his face dark with rage.
“They’ve got some serious nerve, don’t they? Breaking into our house!” The old matriarch was equally livid. “Fengcai, drive faster! Let’s get home and see if I don’t deal with those pests!”
“Alright, alright!” Yu Fengcai responded hurriedly, starting the car and driving quickly. “Yunshan, should we call Xinglang?”
“No need!” Huo Yunshan rejected the idea. “He’s in a high position at Wen Corporation right now, and his project is particularly crucial. We shouldn’t bother him with minor family matters during this time.”
“Let him focus on his work. Sooner or later, he’ll replace Huo Xingjian and take over Wen Corporation.”
“Exactly!” The old matriarch nodded in agreement. “Once Xinglang takes over the company, we’ll rename it Huo Corporation. What’s this Wen Corporation nonsense? My son isn’t married into their Wen family!”
“If it weren’t for Yunshan, would the Wen family have what they do now? Look at this—have Wen Yintong or her sons even visited you once in the hospital these past few days?”
“They’re all ungrateful wretches! Fine, then—if they don’t appreciate it, we’ll stop helping them! I only need Xinglang, my good grandson!”
Yu Fengcai beamed at these words, clearly pleased.
Exactly! The Huo family only needed her son. As for Huo Xingjian, if he liked the Wen family so much, he could just become one of them.
In any case, the Wen family would be dealt with, one by one, in due time.

Creek Bay
This was the villa community where Yu Fengcai’s family lived.
The car pulled into the villa, and the three of them got out.
“Dad, Mom, Grandma, you’re finally back! It’s them! They’re the ones trespassing on our house!” Huo Yuyan pointed at the men, glaring daggers at them.
“Well, if it isn’t Mr. Huo’s father. When did you get yourself a new wife and daughter? Brother Yunshan, your new little wife isn’t as attractive or elegant as Mrs. Huo!”
The moment the words "little wife" were uttered, Yu Fengcai's face darkened instantly.
The old matriarch wasn't any better. She stormed forward with surprising speed, raising her hand to slap the man. "You wretched peasant! How dare you run your foul mouth?! How dare you spew such filth?!"
"You came to steal from our house without even finding out who I am!"
"Right now, immediately, put everything back where it was! Or I’ll show you exactly how I deal with people like you!"
The old matriarch wasn’t holding back—each slap landed with a loud thwack. For someone in her seventies, her strength, stance, and volume were more reminiscent of a village brawler than an elderly woman.
The man, mindful of her age, refrained from retaliating and endured her blows in silence.
He was all too familiar with this kind of elderly troublemaker. The moment you fought back, she'd collapse on the spot, claiming full-body fractures and internal bleeding, leaving you to pay damages until you were penniless.
But of course, he wasn’t entirely defenseless.
As he took the hits, his companion quietly filmed the entire scene with his phone, ensuring they had evidence in case the old woman decided to twist the story later.
"Alright, that’s enough, ma’am."
A deep voice interrupted the commotion.
The attention turned to a group of four or five uniformed police officers approaching the scene.
"Officers, you’re here just in time," the man exclaimed, pointing to the scratches on his face and neck. "I’m the victim here. I didn’t retaliate, I didn’t insult her, and yet I was attacked. Look at my injuries—I demand a medical examination! I believe I may even have internal injuries. I reserve the right to press charges."
"You scoundrel!" The old matriarch spat at him. "How dare you! Trespassing in my house, and now you’re claiming to be the victim? You want to sue me? I’ll sue you first!"
"This is my house! You broke in without our permission and started hauling away our belongings!"
"Officers, arrest them immediately! Lock them up and throw away the key! I want them to rot in prison!"
The old matriarch's fury was palpable. Her demeanor screamed dominance, as if she held the ultimate authority to decide their fates.
"Ma’am, that’s not quite how it works." The man smirked. "You claim this villa is yours, but do you have any proof? We were hired by the property owner to move these items. We even have a sales contract for the furniture."
"Proof? Proof for my own home? What nonsense is that?!" The old matriarch spat again.
"What do you say, Brother Yunshan?" The man turned to Huo Yunshan. "You’re Mr. Huo’s father. I may not trust you entirely, but I trust Mr. Huo. Is this villa truly yours?"
"This is..."
"Wait a minute!" The man interrupted before Huo Yunshan could respond, looking puzzled. "This young lady’s been calling you 'Dad,' but as far as I know, Miss Huo doesn’t look like this."
"Miss Huo is stunning! She’s been a beauty since childhood, like a little fairy. She’s nothing like this sharp-tongued, coarse, and unruly girl."
"Miss Huo exudes elegance and grace, just like Mrs. Huo. But this young lady? She’s the spitting image of a market shrew."
"Brother Yunshan, could it be that you’re following the trend among wealthy men and keeping a mistress on the side? And this young woman—is she your illegitimate daughter?"
