"What did you say?" His voice raised, disbelief filling his tone.

Bending down to pick up the key, he didn't hurry to insert it, instead staring blankly ahead, a dark mood settling over him.

"Huo Xingjian said he wants to reopen the investigation into the car accident from two years ago," Li Qingxue's voice came through the phone, slightly trembling.

On the other end, there was silence.

"Hello? Are you listening?" Her voice grew urgent, a thin layer of sweat starting to form on her forehead.

"Where are you?" After a long pause, Huo Xinglang's deep voice finally reached her ears.

"Are you crazy!" Huo Xinglang’s voice grew angry. "You’re calling from Wenhua Garden! Do you know that they’re all living there now...?"

"They’ve left," Li Qingxue interrupted, her voice calm. "Only Mr. Huo, your mom, and I are here now."

Hearing this, Huo Xinglang let out a long breath. "I know. I’ll come over right now. Don’t think too much, we’ll talk when I get there."

With that, he hung up the phone.

From the kitchen, Yu Fengcai walked out, scanning the large living room but only finding Li Qingxue, not seeing the four members of Wen Yintong's family.
