She hung up the phone without giving Huo Xingjian a chance to respond.

Driving towards Qinxinyuan, Huo Xingjian was completely confused.

Zhang Hui’s call came through. "President Huo, the hospital called. Miss Li has completed her discharge procedures." 

"Understood." Huo Xingjian responded calmly. "Have someone keep an eye on her."

"She just left the hospital. Li Anan isn’t with her... President Huo, she called me," Zhang Hui said, looking at the phone screen which showed Li Qingxue's number. "Should I answer?"

"Answer it. Tell me later what she wants," Huo Xingjian said before hanging up the phone.

Zhang Hui answered the call. "Hello, Miss Li, is there something you need?"

"Assistant Zhang, could you please tell Mr. Huo that I really appreciate the care he’s shown me over these past two years," came Li Qingxue's calm voice. "Now that I’ve recovered, I can’t keep troubling him."

"I’ve completed the discharge procedures here. Also, I’ll gradually repay the expenses over the past two years."

"From now on, I won’t disturb him or interfere with his life."

Her voice faltered slightly as she said this.

"Okay!" Zhang Hui responded calmly. "I’ll make sure to pass on your words to Mr. Huo. As for the bill for your hospitalization, I’ll send it to your email."

"The bill is a bit high, so if Miss Li can’t pay it all at once, it’s best to provide a timeline. I’ll also send the repayment account details to your email."

"Lastly, I wish you a speedy recovery and the ability to move freely again."

He hung up the phone before Li Qingxue could say anything else.

Li Qingxue sat in her wheelchair, holding her phone, her ear still pressed to it.

Zhang Hui's words echoed in her mind, making her feel like a statue.

What did he say? Did he really expect her to pay back the money?

That damn Zhang Hui, who gave him the courage to speak to her like that?

Li Qingxue's lips twitched violently, her eyelids twitching uncontrollably.

She wanted to explode, but she knew it was pointless to be angry at the moment.

Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to suppress the raging anger inside.

Li Anan angrily stepped out of the taxi, glaring at Li Qingxue. "What do you want? I’m telling you, if..."

"Li Anan, if it weren’t for me, do you think you’d ever catch Huo Xingjian’s eye? If I hadn’t entrusted you to him before I had my accident, do you think you’d have had the chance to interact with him?"

Li Qingxue interrupted her, her cold eyes glaring at her like sharp knives.

Li Anan shivered at her words. "I made Huo Xingjian care about me with my own abilities."

"Look at the situation now," Li Qingxue said calmly. "Shen Cheng must have used some trick to change Huo Xingjian's attitude toward me."

"That bitch Shen Cheng!" Li Anan gritted her teeth. "I won’t let her off."

Li Anan took a deep breath, then gritted her teeth. "Sis, what do you want me to do? I’ll do whatever you say."

She knew full well that there could be no infighting at this point. They had to team up to deal with Shen Cheng and fix Huo Xingjian's attitude toward them.

Li Qingxue’s lips curled into a satisfied smile.

For some reason, she felt that Li Qingxue wasn’t just talking. She could see the unmistakable killing intent in her eyes.

Swallowing nervously, she quickly nodded, "I understand. I won’t say anything. Sis, no one from the Huo family will find out about you and Vice President Huo."

"Go stop the car, we’re going to Shilai Café. I’ve got an appointment with Shen Cheng!" Li Qingxue coldly ordered.
