"Are you telling the truth?" Luo Liyan looked at him with uncertainty as his eyes sparkled.
"Do you think I'd dare to lie to you?" Weichi Che raised an eyebrow and asked, then seemed to recall something, adding with a touch of desolation, "In case you disappear again where should I look for you?"
Um... could you stop bringing up this question?
Luo Liyan choked on her words feeling embarrassed as she turned her face slightly away and avoided direct eye contact. She didn't dare to speak further.
"All right, be good and go to sleep." Weichi Che decided not to dwell on it and gently patted her back.
Luo Liyan wondered what Weichi Che intended to do after darkening but her thoughts were futile. Her eyelids grew heavy and she soon drifted into a deep slumber.
Weichi Che heard her breathing grow soft and long so he stopped his actions. He stared at the face that had haunted his dreams, the face he had almost given up on.
Why did she leave him back then?
Hadn't they agreed to everything?
Why did she want to break their promises?
Did he spend all these years foolishly keeping those commitments while she refused to come out?
If that was the case, he would prefer that she had never saved him back then!
But... he couldn't bear it!
