Hou Shi and the sixth miss were originally heading back to their rooms, but they stopped in their tracks.

Hou Shi frowned and exchanged a glance with the sixth miss. Both of them didn't do much.
Shu Yu didn't know about these events; at this moment, she had already returned home with the old lady.
The house had indeed prepared a warm meal, kept on the stove, waiting for Shu Yu to return.
Shu Yu hadn't experienced such a day for a month and a half. She sat across from the old lady, smiling, looking at the table full of dishes, and sighed comfortably.
The old lady served her food, and the bowl was almost overflowing. "Hungry, right? Eat quickly. After eating, we can talk slowly."
The dishes were all Shu Yu's favorites. She glanced at her younger brother and sister, smiled, and picked up the bowl.
The sky had already darkened. After finishing her meal, Shu Yu took a warm bath and was promptly pushed into bed by the old lady.
In no time, San Ya ran into the room and quickly dove under the covers.
The old lady stood at the door, reminding her, "Come out and talk in a while, okay? Your second sister has been busy all day and is tired. Let her rest early."
San Ya buried half of her head in the covers and quickly said, "Okay, Granny."
The old lady closed the door.
Only then did San Ya poke her head out, her little hand holding Shu Yu's hand. "Second sister, I missed you so much."
"Second sister missed you all too." Shu Yu patted San Ya's head. The little girl seemed to have lost some weight. She had gained a bit of flesh when they were in Jiangyuan County, but during this journey, her chubby cheeks were gone.
However, San Ya's spirits were still high.
The little girl had a lot to say, and she chattered about everything that had happened on the journey, as well as the situation of their parents in the county.
But being so young, she got sleepy after a short while. Nestled in her second sister's soft bed, she quickly fell asleep.
When the old lady came in, the little girl's face was already flushed with sleep.
The old lady wanted to take her away, but Shu Yu stopped her. "Granny, let her sleep here. San Ya sleeps well, and she won't disturb me. It's warm in the quilt now. If she's taken out, she might catch a cold."
The old lady didn't insist, just whispered, "Fine, you also rest early."
Shu Yu smiled and agreed. She watched the old lady leave before hugging San Ya and closing her eyes to sleep.
She almost overslept. It was only when the old lady came in to wake her up that she realized it was not early anymore.
Rubbing her forehead, Shu Yu realized she had slept too comfortably at home.
She carefully avoided San Ya, got up to dress, and when she was leaving, the old lady had already brought a steaming bowl of noodles to her, along with two eggs.
