Ye Muyu was not one to pry into others' affairs. If a child didn't want to speak, she would remain silent.
When they arrived at the old house, they met Chu Liushi returning from outside.
"Mother," Ye Muyu greeted.
"How come you're here?" Chu Liushi asked, her gaze shifting to Chu Sheng standing beside Ye Muyu.
Chu Sheng dared not lie in front of his grandmother and hurriedly explained, "Mother asked me to call Third Aunt over because her mood was off today."
Chu Liushi suddenly guessed something and didn't ask further. She called Ye Muyu and entered the courtyard.
In a lowered voice, she asked, "Muyu, has Ah Heng returned yet?"
"Not yet, it should be another hour." It was still mid-afternoon, and there was plenty of daylight left.
Chu Liushi didn't ask any more questions.
The two of them walked into the main hall.
Zhang wasn't in sight.
Ye Muyu thought of the faint crying she had heard from the courtyard just now and guessed that Zhang might be in Chu Qingxiang's room.

Chu Liushi looked at Chu Sheng. "Go call your mother. Your father and grandfather haven't returned yet?"
"Mother asked my younger brother to call her." Chu Sheng said and then ran out of the hall to find Zhang.
Chu Liushi stood up to pour tea for Ye Muyu.
Ye Muyu didn't let her do it and stood up. "Mother, please rest. I'll do it."
She picked up the teapot and poured a cup for herself. The tea was cold, and Ye Muyu frowned slightly. She was about to replace it, but Chu Liushi had already drunk it without any reaction.
At that moment, Zhang rushed in, her steps panicked.
Ye Muyu quickly stepped forward to support her, and even Chu Liushi was startled and hurried forward to support her.
Zhang burst into tears and hugged Chu Liushi. "Mother, the Song family is too much!"
"Alright, sit down and tell us slowly. Kneeling on the ground won't solve anything. Your father and eldest brother will be back soon!" Chu Liushi reprimanded.
Zhang listened and touched her tears, then found a chair to sit down.
Ye Muyu sat next to the chair without saying a word, silently listening. She had some idea why Zhang had called her here alone without calling the second wife. It must be related to Chu Heng after all.
"Eldest sister-in-law, take a break and have some tea." Ye Muyu said, seeing that Zhang's emotions were unstable. She stood up to pour her some tea.
Zhang suddenly grabbed her wrist, her eyes reddening and said through gritted teeth, "Third sister-in-law, you must help me! Only you and the third brother can help our Qingxiang!"
"Elder sister-in-law, don't worry. Things may not be as bad as you think." Ye Muyu didn't immediately promise to help. Even if she wanted to help, she had to see if she was capable of doing so. She wasn't qualified to make promises on Chu Heng's behalf.
Right now, things were not clear and it wasn't wise to make a statement.
"Eldest daughter-in-law, you haven't even said what happened. Why are you in such a hurry?" Chu Liushi spoke up and scolded.
Zhang sniffed and wiped her face with a handkerchief, her emotions still fluctuating.
But Chu Liushi's words came first. Although she was angry, she also knew that getting angry at her own people was useless. Ultimately, they had to come up with a plan.
