The young emperor furrowed his brows and clenched his fists under his dragon robe.

More than a hundred guards shouted in unison and the synchronized voices startled the three women who were already feeling uneasy.
Seeing this, the leader of the guards held them in even greater contempt. They were acting so recklessly now in front of them, likely trying to make things difficult for the lady before the general returned from court.
They had followed the general into life and death for nearly ten years and would not allow them to succeed.
"Are you...are you trying to rebel?" The Empress Dowager turned red with anger, staring hatefully at the human wall before her.
