Chapter 629: The Strange Da Ya and Zhao Xi

Unaware of Aunt Xue's current condition, lying in bed hungry and in excruciating pain, Shu Yu kept an eye on the entrance of the courtyard. Her expression subtly changed when she saw Zhao Xi and Da Ya entering together.

Indeed, they had gone out together.

But when did they become so familiar with each other? It was a suspicious situation since they were a man and a woman alone together.

As he spoke, Zhao Xi even took out some herbs.

Shu Yu was somewhat skeptical. "Do you need to gather herbs so late at night?"

"Da Ya is leaving tomorrow morning. We were afraid there wouldn't be enough time, so we had to go last night," Zhao Xi explained casually.

She didn't intend to delve any further and asked a few casual questions before letting it go. However, she maintained a skeptical attitude about the relationship between the two.

Hadn't she heard Zhao Xi start calling Da Ya "Da Ya"? He used to address her as "Miss Lu" before.

Da Ya let out a slight sigh of relief and exchanged a glance with Zhao Xi before quickly entering the house.

The next day, Da Ya prepared to return to the county town early in the morning, and Zhao Xi was still the one seeing her off.

As for Shu Yu, she went to the village to collect her hunting tools, preparing to go into the mountains.

Compared to the previous day, she and Fang Xiyue received even more attention this time. People even approached her to strike up conversations. After responding casually a few times, Shu Yu left the village with Fang Xiyue.
