Ye Muyu wasn't worried at all. After all, if they couldn't plant all the crops, they could still consume them personally or sell the surplus. She wasn't concerned about buying too much.


"Alright." There was a hint of a smile in Chu Heng's eyes as he nodded and motioned for Luchuan to take note.


After the two finished their conversation, Hu Shi called for dinner.


Chu Heng went to wash his hands outside the kitchen and called the children.


Chong Jin glanced at the yard's entrance, realizing that his uncle hadn't arrived yet. Feeling somewhat strange, he hesitated for a moment but was soon pulled along by Chu Ziluo. They quickly went outside to wash their hands.


After some contemplation, Chong Jin didn't say anything, silently waiting for his uncle to come and pick him up. He joined Chu Ziluo in washing his hands and preparing for dinner.


Ye Muyu entered the kitchen to help with serving the dishes. Suddenly, Master Lin arrived.


Chu Heng had just finished washing his hands when he heard a knock on the door. Instead of waiting for Zhang Shu to answer, he walked straight to the yard's entrance, opened the half-closed gate and saw Master Lin standing there holding a box of pastries.


"Mr. Chu, sorry to bother you. I've come to pick up Chong Jin." Master Lin saw Chu Heng and greeted him with a gentle smile, handing over the pastries. "This is a small token of my appreciation. I hope Mr. Chu won't mind."


"Master Lin, don't be so polite. We're just having a simple dinner. You seem to have not had your meal yet. Why not come in and join us? We can also discuss the village school matters." Chu Heng motioned for Master Lin to enter.


Master Lin hesitated a bit. "This..."


"Master Lin, please don't be polite. It's just an ordinary meal." Chu Heng wore a polite smile and called Luchuan over to take the pastries. Together with Master Lin, they walked towards the main hall.


Seeing that Master Lin didn't show any signs of rejection, Chu Heng invited him to stay for dinner.


Passing by the kitchen, he saw Chong Jin standing on the side. Master Lin wore a warm smile, "Chong Jin, come over here to your uncle."


Chong Jin nodded and walked over. He joined Chu Heng and Master Lin as they entered the main hall.


The table was already set with a variety of dishes and the aroma filled the room. Master Lin could tell at a glance that the food was definitely not lacking. Although he had heard many villagers mention that Ye Muyu was a good cook and that their family enjoyed delicious meals, seeing it in person made him realize just how good it was. Master Lin waved his hand, "I won't drink. I'm afraid I won't wake up tomorrow, delaying the children's classes."


"Master Lin, don't worry. This is osmanthus wine with mild alcohol content. Try it." Ye Muyu smiled gently and poured a little for Master Lin.


"Well, alright." Master Lin didn't want to refuse again and took a small sip.


Chu Heng had a good alcohol tolerance, at least Ye Muyu hadn't seen him drunk before. He left the wine jug on the side, letting them pour for themselves.
