 Chapter 43: So Eager to See You

Sheng Mingsi saw her at a glance, along with the person who approached her intimately.

His expression remained indifferent, even appearing more gloomy under the dim lighting.

He took off his heavy black coat, tossed it to a nearby waiter, and then strode over.

Jiang Chenchen stood up, her gaze fixed on him.

But Sheng Mingsi didn't spare her a glance. Coldly, he walked past her and sat on the sofa next to Qin Chi.

Jiang Chenchen stood there, stunned. Did he not recognize her? Did he get angry because of his fiancée?

Her head buzzed. After waiting for so long, the person she wanted to see so badly seemed to ignore her.

Her thoughts were completely chaotic, and a sense of sadness pervaded her body. Numbly, she turned around, wanting to look at him again.

Even if he hated her, she wanted to take a good look at him again. Even if she never saw him again, she could always remember the last day when he was closest to her.

Sheng Mingsi irritably lowered his head, took out a cigarette, and lit it. When he looked up, he met her direct, hot gaze.

She picked up the glass on the table, took a gulp of the drink, and drank it quickly, with drops falling from the corner of her mouth.

Jiang Chenchen entered the elevator. Her head buzzed. She pressed the floor button, and when the elevator doors were about to close, a hand blocked them.

Then she watched the elevator doors open again, revealing the familiar and indifferent figure walking in from outside.

Her heart skipped a beat. The cold aura lingered around him. She looked at him but dared not meet his eyes.

She lowered her head, her heart in chaos.

Sheng Mingsi suppressed the anger in his heart, stepped forward, lifted her chin, and bent down to look into her eyes, saying coldly, "Speak. Why did you leave suddenly?"

Jiang Chenchen had no choice but to look into his eyes. Hearing his questioning, feeling upset, wasn't it because of his fiancée that she left?

"I can't... disturb you anymore."

Sheng Mingsi was so angry that he exerted force on his hand, but he didn't dare to hurt her. "Then why did you come here? Did you come to deliberately anger me?"
