He wrung a towel for her to wipe her face, while he tidied up the clothes that had been taken off the bed.
Shu Yu said, "We need to hide these clothes and make sure they're not seen by anyone."
Meng Yunzheng nodded and used his own outer robe to wrap and tie up her clothes. He placed them at the foot of the bed and covered them with a blanket.
Once Shu Yu saw that he had finished, she breathed a sigh of relief. Then her eyes turned red, and tears suddenly fell.
When Meng Yunzheng turned to look at her, he was taken aback. He quickly asked, "What's wrong? Where does it hurt?"

Meng Yunzheng sighed, nodded, and took the medicine bottle to open the door. He pretended to be busy when speaking to the village chief's wife, who had already heard the noise and was eavesdropping outside the door. "Auntie, um, I need to trouble you."
The village chief's wife immediately put down the cloth in her hand and smiled as she approached, saying, "What's the matter, Young Master Yun?"
Meng Yunzheng glanced back into the room and said to her, "My wife has several external injuries, but I have a heavy hand, and applying the medicine always ends up hurting her. Auntie is a woman and more careful, so could you help apply the medicine to her?"

Meng Yunzheng handed the medicine bottle to the village chief's wife, quietly gave Shu Yu a few instructions, and then closed the door and went to talk to the village chief.
Shu Yu leaned against the head of the bed, her eyes red,
her injured hand still hanging, and her hair disheveled. She looked truly pitiful.
The village chief's wife quickly sat beside her and said, "Young lady, don't cry. Once we apply the medicine, it won't hurt anymore. Come, tell me which parts are injured, and I'll take a look."
Shu Yu wiped her eyes and nodded to both of them. "Thank you both. I rolled down the hillside, and my back, waist, and legs were scratched by rocks and branches."
